El Salvador was labeled as on of the most violent countries in the western hemisphere. This stigma was relinquished in March of this year, when the unexpected news of a truce between the two major gangs Mara Salvatrucha (MS) and Barrio 18 was announced. The truce continues and the country is mourning less but will it be forever.
El Salvador fue etiquetado como uno de los países más violentos del hemisferio occidental. Este estigma se acabó en marzo, de este año cuando la inesperada noticia de una tregua entre las dos principales pandillas Mara Salvatrucha (MS) y Barrio 18 fue anunciada. La tregua continúa y el país está menos de luto, pero va a ser por siempre.
